Irish Alt-Pop artist and producer Ria Rua bursts into 2024 with her sophomore EP 'Asking For It', comprised of live and remix versions of the fan favourite title track. Having joined forces with acclaimed Irish DJ and remix artist Arveene (The Prodigy, Felix the Housecat) for the remixes, the pair treat us to a delightful dance track whilst showcasing just how versatile Ria's voice can be.

On 'Asking For It', Ria says:

"Asking For It is a high energy anthem for anyone who’s ever felt frustrated by fear or loss of agency; a song about empowerment. In other words, whether it be in a club, or a taxi, or a dark city street, everyone should feel safe and free to be themselves."

About meeting Ria Rua and the subsequent project, Arveene comments:

“Met her at the back of a club in the early hours - funny how a giggle on the dance floor can lead to great music! It’s a pleasure to bring my sound to her’s - see them live they’re fantastic!"
